Coffee, Tea or ME???

I heard rumblings about this new movement a few weeks back and didn't really have time to check it out, but tonight, I spent a little time on the internet and discovered that the liberals have come up with their answer to the Tea Party Patriots, they now have The Coffee Party USA.

I read through a little of their propaganda, read some of their forums and I'll just share a little with you and then you can do your own research.

Now correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it Congresswoman "lights out" Pelosi who accused the Tea Party movement of being astro turf and not a grassroots organization? Yep, I thought I was correct on that one, well, well, read the "Coffey Party's" mission statement straight from their website:

MISSION: The Coffee Party Movement gives voice to Americans who want to see cooperation in government. We recognize that the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the expression of our collective will, and that we must participate in the democratic process in order to address the challenges that we face as Americans. As voters and grassroots volunteers, we will support leaders who work toward positive solutions, and hold accountable those who obstruct them.

Makes you wonder if any Republicans will come out and accuse the liberals of being "astroturf" or if Congresswoman Pelosi will give them equal time with her derogatory comments? I doubt it and you probably doubt it too.

The following is the video with Annabel Park the supposed founder of The Coffee Party Movement that was posted on YouTube stating how they began and where they are going. (NOTE: This message is coming from a group of people who still believe in the Global Warming myth and they shot the video in the middle of a snow storm.) Those of you who beleive that Global Warming is a myth are going to find that as funny as I did. Just a side note, instead of playing "Where's Waldo" can someone tell me "Where's Al Gore?"

If that isn't funny enough I found this on their Forums, someone within their movement is trying to come up with an acronym for "COFFEE", now if you are drinking some coffee or tea, whatever your preference, swallow what you have in your mouth and put down your cup, "votenovember2008" is not responsible for any liquid damage to your computer.

Acronym and Motto

* Good Ideas to promote change

On behalf of the caffeinated everywhere, I'd like to offer the following branding concepts before the Right can beat us to it:

Our Acronym:

Communist
Operatives
For
Federally
Enforced
Equality

Our Motto:

"All beverages are equal but some beverages are more equal than others."

Okay, here's the non-tongue-in-cheek version:

Citizen
Operatives
For
Federally
Enhanced
Equality

I really encourage you to go over to the website and check it out, if nothing else it's worth some humor.

Oh and last but not least, they posted this video on YouTube as well. (Lee you are going to love this video more than any of my readers.)

Alan P. Alborn of Manassas, Virginia served in the United States Army for a 22 years, in the Far East, Europe, and the Pentagon specializing in Military Intelligence, Special Operations, Logistics, Operations Research (ORSA), and Systems Engineering. After retiring from the military, he spent 15 years in senior positions with the private sector. Al is an Eagle Scout.

With all due respect for Army Veteran Alborn, thank you for your service and commitment to Freedom, I beg to disagree with you. I wonder if you are aware of their "acronym". Semper Fidelis, VN8

The Coffee Party has proven to be a flop, while the Tea Party is a resounding success. Mostly because it taps into the frustration of many decades of ineffective government who refused to listen to the people.

Scalawag, I'm sure that initially the Tea Party movement might have appeared to be a flop too. Keeping my eyes open and anticipating counter protests. Keep the Faith, keep up the fight! VN8

I saw an entry yesterday about a "Stop the Bill Rally" where 600 were expected and 2,500 showed up! By contrast, the Coffee Party in St Louis attracted 30 that included some Tea Party infiltrators and customers of the coffee shop who happened to be there! The MSM, the Dems, BO, et al have done everything in their power to discredit, stigmatize, and delegitimize the Tea Party movement and they've failed. They have tried to paint the Tea Party as racist, homophobic, etc. but the movement thrives. Then they fawn all over the Coffee Party and paint a picture of a group of discontented conservatives and liberals who are so much more intellectual and measured. They trot our some malcontent like the retired Army guy from Manassas and hold him up to substantiate the claims that the Tea Party is radical. BS. Screw 'em all. They'll ignore us at their peril. Please pardon my rant.

You'll appreciate this.

Lee, I love it when you rant! I'm always fearful that you will return and remove your rant! LOL the part that bothers me the most is that the left thinks that they are so much more intellectual with their progressive ideas! Common sense has failed this Nation and I'd take it any day over an educated and intellectual progressive! Thanks for giving me the heads up on St. Louis, but never be naive, they can grow in numbers. Eyes wide open. Keep the Faith, keep up the fight! VN8

OK, I listened again to his video and did a quick Google on him. He appears to be a business consultant. No doubt he's a knowledgeable guy. No doubt he's a lib at heart though he touts his "reformed libertarian" and small government creds. What bugs me about him is that he suffers from the belief that he's smarter. Tea Party types aren't smart enough to see the world as he does. They don't get it. They don't want a national dialogue whatever the hell that means. Yet he has no criticism for BO, Pelosi, and Reid. None! Talk about not wanting dialogue! The Dems are hell bent to push this atrocity. He believes there is "something in the middle." BS. Anything in the middle is incrementalism. Death by a thousand cuts. As Mark Steyn put it (I love quoting Steyn), the argument over a public option is moot as the whole thing is a public option. We're much better off doing nothing. Alborn doesn't argue free market reforms for health care. In my never too humble opinion, this guy is either a liberal in denial or he suffers from McCain disease: a conservative who wants so much to be loved and admired that he violates his own principles for a few moments in the warm glow of the MSM.

It may have seemed unlikely to you, but you got my blood boiling with this one! Lemme give you another example: Colin Powell is held up as a sane Republican. Translated, that means he calls himself a Republican while stabbing the party in the back at every turn. He's loved and adored by the MSM when he does these things, much as McCain was prior to his getting the GOP nomination when he quickly became the devil incarnate.

I've no doubt that were RR president today, Alborn would find fault. Alborn spoke of financial market shenanigans and the need for regulation but failed to mention the roles of Fannie, Freddie, Barney Frank, and Chris Dodd in the meltdown. We had plenty regulation...much of it bad.

I'm not done yet! CNN (primarily) and other MSM outlets slobbered all over the Coffee Party idea as the antidote to the Tea Party. It's founder, Annabel Park, was praised. She declares the Coffee Party to be the opposite of the Tea Party. What none of the MSM bothered to say is that she is a leftist and Obama supporter. Check it out, as if any of y'all didn't already know! Scroll down to her twitter posts. Now, that brings me back to our buddy Alborn. His criticism of the Tea Party is not as overt as Park's but he leaves no doubt that he thinks we're a bunch of ignorant bumpkins. Without meeting or talking with him, it's impossible to pin him down but I gotta believe that he's one of them as he hardly impresses me as someone who was duped.

Yeah the whole coffee party thing was blah. Not sure exactly what they stood for except maybe a wanna be grass roots middle right democratic agenda.
