You have got to be kidding me?

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The federal government is providing six more months of rental assistance to thousands of families affected by the 2005 hurricanes, allowing them extra time to reach self-sufficiency or to get into other housing aid programs.

(OK, let me get this straight, these families have had 3 1/2 years to get their selves together and they still need assistance to become self sufficient? What in the name of God has happened to people? For those of you in Rio Linda, that's a rhetorical question! Give me a break, get off your collective booty, find employment and get off the taxpayers back! Please don't tell me you are suffering from post traumatic stress disorder! Approximately 31,400 people are still receiving Federal assistance, will someone tell me what 31,400 people have been doing with their time for over three years? I really want to know! VN8)

That was Limbaugh's point. These people have been conditioned. Decades of conditioning ... to rely on government to take care of them, regardless a timeline. Naturally, they will vote for an even more bloated government entitlement system, since they see that as a government more likely to "assist" them with no strings attached. In the words of Darth Vader, "The circle is now complete". As I think of this, I look upon the high-brow liberals and ask "How can you be so thoughtless, so stupid?" And then we get BO!

OM1, again, you captured exactly what I was thinking! And there you have it!

Hey, do you think we need to call the President and ask if he can send out some relief to Lee and his family? I'm sure they are snowed under and possibly without electricity! It may take him months, possibly years to recover from this snow storm! VN8

The point has been made that if you want to see where Democratic Party style liberalism will take you, visit New Orleans. Even before Katrina the city was an exercise in welfare and crime, and had been for decades.

Lee, I've never been to New Orleans, but I've always heard exactly what you are saying. It's kind of like Vegas, I've just never had any desire to go to either place! I just can't believe those people can't get it together, but if they have been indoctrinated that they can't do it without help, I guess it's like brainwashing? Oh well, so glad I haven't been brainwashed! VN8

Jim, thanks for the invite. I really don't have any interest in visiting New Orleans any more than I desire to visit Rio Linda! LOL VN8
