Interesting McCain Ad

Well, typical campaign commercial designed to paint your opponent in the worst possible light. There's nothing wrong with living well and achieving success as BO has. He does not live extravagantly. McCain shouldn't venture too far down this road given the fact he married into wealth and lives quite well. The one point BO can be dinged on is his half-brother.

Well it's not the actual ad. It's a montage of clips, including part of an ad or two. The first part is one of the latest ads and has been proved to be untrue. The DNC does not have 30 opposition research lawyers unfortunately. I wish the did. It's the McCain team that sent people back in to further vet her and help shut down trooper gate. The really sleazy ad was the one where McCain said Obama was for sex ed to kindergartners. It was actually the Illinois bill he voted on that taught kids what was inappropriate touching by predictors. Thankfully, almost all Republicans have admitted that it was a complete distortion of the truth and across the line of what is an acceptable campaign ad. There are plenty of legitimate issues that both candidates can use in ads without having to just blatantly lie.

VN8, I actually saw the "Sex Ed for Kindergartners" ad, and I would have to admit it was over the line. BO's success is a good thing as Lee said, but McCain's status - married into or not - is well-deserved also. Even so, if each candidate just stuck to the facts, they'd have enough on each other so that the voters themselves could weigh which stuff (like Obama's questionable patriotism) is important and which stuff (like firing a hozed-up state trooper) is not. heh -

Oh yeah, "That danged media!!"

I'm convinced that Obama is convinced that he's running against Palin. I wonder who the heck this McCain guy is?
