Restoring Honor in Washington, DC

My friend on Facebook attended the Restoring Honor event in Washington, DC this past weekend and I wanted to share his photos so that you could see for yourself, he wasn't a target of racism. He was accepted and loved because he IS an American Patriot! You go brother! He's also wearing proudly a t-shirt that states that MLK, Jr. was a Republican! God bless you and thank you so much for allowing me the honor of sharing your marvelous photos!

Hamas is at it again! Palestinians kill 4 Israelis!

Please pray for Israel! Read more here.

Watch out President Obama, PM Benjamin Netanyahu is pissed! This isn't a man who takes lightly to being subbed and you snubbed him, now the Palestinians kill 4 Israelis, I wouldn't ever want to make Bennie mad!

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday vowed to hunt the killers of four Israelis near a Jewish settlement in West Bank.

"We witnessed today a savage murder of four innocent Israelis," said Netanyahu, who is now in Washington for direct talks with Palestinian leader on Thursday.

"We will not let the blood of Israeli civilians go unpunished," he added.

Please take the time to view both of this short videos. The first video is what the National Mall looked like after the Coronation, I mean Inauguration of our current President, the second video is what the National Mall looked like after the Restoring Honor Rally. David Cameron, PM of the UK is coming to America!

Sometimes I love her sometimes I wonder which side of the bed she got out of, left or right, but Peggy Noonan pretty much nails President Barack Hussein Obama and the state of America in this most recent article. I cut and pasted my favorite portions, if you want to read the article in it's entirety, just click here.

Dear Mr Cameron, welcome young friend. Welcome to America. Bring your bright, dashing self to our shores. Speak your piece with affection and modesty and go home a wiser man.

As for your own leadership, here is some advice. Do not imitate Mr Obama. He has been a disappointment; learn from his mistakes.

Here are the things he got wrong. In the middle of an economic crash, and in the middle of record-breaking federal budgets and budget deficits, Mr Obama started a new entitlement. This struck people, by which I mean almost everyone, as off-point. We are in a crisis, part of the crisis involves spending money we don't have, and our answer is to spend more? It wasn't a policy, it was a non sequitur.

It's the faculty-lounge problem again: people in business deal with real things, people in faculty lounges deal with ideas, abstractions, theories; they're swayed by this school of thought and that; they're macro. Businessmen must be micro: "Hey buddy, I'm trying to open a dry cleaners over here!"

So: you get only one chance to make a first impression, and President Obama made one over the past 18 months, and it wasn't good. He's losing the room.

Advice on your visit? Love America. It not only deserves it, at the moment it needs it. Our morale is low. Do you want to help preserve what has been called the Special Relationship? (Actually, I don't know: do you?) If you do, then when you speak here, speak of your love for this great nation. We don't, not in a deep way and not enough. Even our President doesn't. He tries, but he can't get it right because it's all so abstract to him. He associates patriotism with nationalism. But patriotism springs from legitimate love and gratitude, nationalism from shallow aggression and conceit. Obama confuses the two, can't get them straight in his head, and winds up saying little, badly. People don't like this, either.

Anyway, when you speak of America speak with love. People will hear you. It will break through the clutter, as your media obsessives say. It will be a new message, or one Americans haven't heard in a while done well, and truly. And don't focus-group it. Mean it.

WAKE UP AMERICA!

"So after years of championing policies that turned a record surplus into a massive deficit, including a tax cut for the wealthiest Americans, they've finally decided to make their stand on the backs of the unemployed," he said. (President Barack Hussein Obama)

Gotta love this persons comment on the article:

Tax cuts for the wealthy? Really thats all hes got?

Hey Barry, America is sick and tired of you blaming the Republicans! We elected you to FIX the problems not complain and blame. You have a Majority in both houses of Congress and YOU are now the DECIDER in Chief. So do something stupid!

I cant believe I voted for this guy.

If you didn't love that first comment, this one pretty much sums up where we are headed!

This government will tax the "rich" until that runs out and then will borrow until that runs out. Then the tax collectors will have to get creative and tax hitherto untaxed assets until the electorate starts to object en mass. Then the raw power of government will raise it's ugly head and the age old battle to beat back totalitarianism will begin anew. A society that opts to eat its seed corn will eventually die of starvation. I hope all this changes.

(No commentary necessary, these two people who commented on this article pretty much sums it up VN8)

Can't find a job or can't find the perfect job?

Tonight, I went out to dinner. I noticed that the young server was energetic and polite, I guess he was in his early 20's probably a student. I don't know why people open up and tell me the things they do but after taking my order, he told me what a long week he had had. We talked about the heat and how fortunate we both were that we didn't work outside. That's when he told me that he was a full time student, a junior in college, the restaurant was just one of his jobs, he also worked at a local grocery store. He had also cleaned out the gutters on his parents home this week.

After he walked away, I began to wonder, are unemployment rates so high because jobs aren't available or are unemployment rates so high because people can't find their perfect job?

The story doesn't end there. After leaving the restaurant, I needed to make a pit stop at the local grocery store where he said he worked and as I was walking in, I observed a man, possibly 45 years old, carrying an apron walking inside to go to work. He was dressed as if he had just left one job and was going to another.

The answer to my question was right before my eyes. Sometimes what we pray for doesn't come in the packaging that we expect, but if we are faithful, eventually our prayers will be answered in God's perfect timing. Life is not easy, no one ever said it would be, but dreams are attainable if we only seek to achieve them without believing what the mass media proclaims.

Times are tough and I ask each of you, are you getting tough with the times or are you succumbing to the drones that are feeding you the negative? Be strong, keep the faith, keep up the fight, things may get worse before they get better, but they have to get better, it's just a matter of time. VN8

"Life is what happens while you are making other plans!"

If you have 7:25 minutes to watch the following video, please do, you won't regret it. The days of a simple life are forever gone!

Linkletter was born Gordon Arthur Kelly in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. In his autobiography, Confessions of a Happy Man (1960), he revealed that he had had no contact with his natural parents or his sister or two brothers since he was abandoned when only a few weeks old. He was adopted by Mary (née Metzler) and Fulton John Linkletter, an evangelical preacher. Later moving to the United States, he graduated from San Diego State University (SDSU) where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. While he attended San Diego State, he played for the basketball team, and swam for the swim team. He had previously planned to attend Springfield College, but did not for financial reasons. He later served for many years as a trustee at Springfield College, and donated money to build the swim center named in his honor.

In 1963, Linkletter became the endorser and spokesman for Milton Bradley's Game of Life. His picture appeared on the box with the statement "I Heartily Endorse This Game", and also on the $100,000 bills featured in the game.

In 2005, at the age of 93, he opened the Happiest Homecoming on Earth celebrations for the fiftieth anniversary of Disneyland. Half a century earlier, he commentated on the opening day celebrations in 1955. For this, he was named a Disney Legend in 2005.

Linkletter was once a spokesman for National Home Life, an insurance company. A Republican, he became a political organizer and a spokesman for the United Seniors Association, now known as USA Next, an alternative to the AARP. He was also a member of Pepperdine University's Board of Regents. He received a lifetime achievement Daytime Emmy award in 2003. Also, he was recently a member of the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation (the council ended in November 2008).

Linkletter has received honorary degrees from a number of universities, including Pepperdine University and the University of Prince Edward Island.

In early 2008, Linkletter suffered a mild stroke.

Art Linkletter died on May 26, 2010 at his home in Bel-Air, California. He will be buried in Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills Cemetery.

Linkletter had one of the longest marriages of any celebrity in America (it lasted for 74.5 years, until his death). He married Lois Foerster on November 25, 1935, and they had five children: Arthur Jack (known as Jack Linkletter, a TV host), Dawn, Robert, Sharon, and Diane. He was also a good friend of Walt Disney.

Linkletter survived three of his five children. He lost two of his children to violent deaths. His 20-year-old daughter, Diane Linkletter, died on October 4, 1969, by jumping out of her sixth-floor kitchen window. Linkletter claimed that she committed suicide because she was on, or having a flashback from, an LSD trip, but toxicology tests done after the incident detected no signs of LSD use, and it is quite likely that the drug played no part in her suicide. Linkletter spoke out against drugs to prevent children from straying into a drug habit.[citation needed] His record, We Love You, Call Collect, recorded before her death, featured a discussion about permissiveness in modern society. It featured a rebuttal by Diane, called Dear Mom and Dad. The record won a 1970 Grammy award for the "Best Spoken Word Recording".

His son Robert died in an automobile accident on September 12, 1980.

His son (Arthur) Jack Linkletter, (November 20, 1937(1937-11-20)–December 18, 2007 (aged 70)), died from lymphoma.

We will never forget you Mr. Linkletter, God speed! VN8

Let my people go . . .

Where is Moses when you need him? The reason I'm asking? Ever since FDR and the "New Deal" the American people have been surrendering to captivity. You think that statement is extreme? Well it's kind of like to the story of the frog in a pot of cold water:

The boiling frog story is a widespread anecdote describing a frog slowly being boiled alive. The premise is that if a frog is placed in boiling water, it will jump out, but if it is placed in cold water that is slowly heated, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death. The story is often used as a metaphor for the inability of people to react to significant changes that occur gradually. According to contemporary biologists the premise of the story is not literally true; an actual frog submerged and gradually heated will jump out. However, a variety of 19th century research experiments suggested that the underlying premise is true, provided the heating is gradual enough.

Americans have slowly but surely been allowing our Constitutional Rights to be eroded to the point that we don't even remember what those rights are any longer. It's a crying shame and I say to each of you that read my blog or stumble upon my blog, "Let my people go!"

We are tired of the tax burden, we are tired of other countries telling us what "we" need to do to satisfy their own needs. I for one have struggled with "isolation" but I wonder if we could turn back the hands of time, if that might have been a better path for our Country to take?

Today, I was at a clients and we turned on the TV and I saw Mexican President Felipe Calderon sharing his views with OUR Congress on his opinions of US Federal Immigration Law and his opinions of Arizona's State Immigration Law and I've got one question for you, how did he get that gig?

I was so infuriated when Hugo Chavez addressed the United Nations some months back, lambasting the United States, it took me a couple of weeks to cool my head over his negative opinions and it's time to wake up people. When someone condemns the United States and her laws, her actions, they are condemning each and every one of you. We are collectively the United States of America.

It's time to stand up and collectively say, "Let my people go!" We are not going to support a government who continues to infringe on our Rights and enslave us to world leaders who want to dictate to United States citizens what we should and should not do. Watch the video attached, pause the video if you need to, observe the politicians who applauded and gave the standing ovation to Mexico's President and remember them the next time they are up for election.

As for President Calderon, what are you doing in your own Country to stop the violence on your own soil, what are you doing to create jobs in your own Country so that your own people do not want to flood our borders looking for a better life endangering our border agents?

The backs of the American people are about to break and when the last straw that breaks the camels back falls, I stand with proud American Patriots, we will take our Nation back, we will be free!

As for the ban on assault rifles, I have one thing to say, we will not give them up and there is a reason they call them "assault" rifles! VN8

In Remembrance of Easter . . .He's ALIVE!

Please watch this til the end and tell me how you responded, I was covered in goose bumps.

The gates and doors were barred
And all the windows fastened down
I spent the night in sleeplessness
And rose at every sound
Half in hope of sorrow
And half in fear the day
Would find the soldiers breakin' through
To drag us all away

And just before the sunrise
I heard something at the wall
The gate began to rattle
And a voice began to call
I hurried to the window
Looked down into the street
Expecting swords and torches
And the sound of soldiers' feet

But there was no one there but Mary
So I went down to let her in
John stood there beside me
As she told me where she'd been
She said they've moved Him in the night
And none of us know where
The stone's been rolled away
And now His body isn't there

We both ran towards the garden
Then John ran on ahead
We found the stone and empty tomb
Just the way that Mary said
But the winding sheet they wrapped Him in
Was just an empty shell
And how or where they'd taken Him
Was more than I could tell

Oh something strange had happened there
Just what I did not know
John believed a miracle
But I just turned to go
Circumstance and speculation
Couldn't lift me very high
'Cause I'd seen them crucify Him
Then I saw Him die

Back inside the house again
The guilt and anguish came
Everything I'd promised Him
Just added to my shame
When at last it came to choices
I denied I knew His name
And even if He was alive
It wouldn't be the same

But suddenly the air was filled
With a strange and sweet perfume
Light that came from everywhere
Drove shadows from the room
And Jesus stood before me
With His arms held open wide
And I fell down on my knees
And I just clung to Him and cried

Then He raised me to my feet
And as I looked into His eyes
The love was shining out from Him
Like sunlight from the skies
Guilt in my confusion
Disappeared in sweet release
And every fear I ever had
Just melted into peace

He's alive yes He's alive
Yes He's alive and I'm forgiven
Heaven's gates are open wide
He's alive yes He's alive
Oh He's alive and I'm forgiven
Heaven's gates are open wide
He's alive He's alive
Hallelujah He's alive
He's alive and I'm forgiven
Heaven's gates are open wide
He's alive He's alive He's alive
I believe it He's alive
Sweet Jesus

Doctor tells Obama supporters: Go elsewhere for health care

A Mount Dora doctor posted a sign telling Obama health care supporters to go elsewhere.

By Stephen Hudak, Orlando Sentinel

April 2, 2010

MOUNT DORA — A doctor who considers the national health-care overhaul to be bad medicine for the country posted a sign on his office door telling patients who voted for President Barack Obama to seek care "elsewhere."

"I'm not turning anybody away — that would be unethical," Dr. Jack Cassell, 56, a Mount Dora urologist and a registered Republican opposed to the health plan, told the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday. "But if they read the sign and turn the other way, so be it."

The sign reads: "If you voted for Obama … seek urologic care elsewhere. Changes to your healthcare begin right now, not in four years."

Estella Chatman, 67, of Eustis, whose daughter snapped a photo of the typewritten sign, sent the picture to U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, the Orlando Democrat who riled Republicans last year when he characterized the GOP's idea of health care as, "If you get sick, America … Die quickly."

Chatman said she heard about the sign from a friend referred to Cassell after his physician recently died. She said her friend did not want to speak to a reporter but was dismayed by Cassell's sign.

"He's going to find another doctor," she said.

Cassell may be walking a thin line between his right to free speech and his professional obligation, said William Allen, professor of bioethics, law and medical professionalism at the University of Florida's College of Medicine.

Allen said doctors cannot refuse patients on the basis of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or disability, but political preference is not one of the legally protected categories specified in civil-rights law. By insisting he does not quiz his patients about their politics and has not turned away patients based on their vote, the doctor is "trying to hold onto the nub of his ethical obligation," Allen said.

"But this is pushing the limit," he said.

Cassell, who has practiced medicine in GOP-dominated Lake County since 1988, said he doesn't quiz his patients about their politics, but he also won't hide his disdain for the bill Obama signed and the lawmakers who passed it.

In his waiting room, Cassell also has provided his patients with photocopies of a health-care timeline produced by Republican leaders that outlines "major provisions" in the health-care package. The doctor put a sign above the stack of copies that reads: "This is what the morons in Washington have done to your health care. Take one, read it and vote out anyone who voted for it."

Cassell, whose lawyer wife, Leslie Campione, has declared herself a Republican candidate for Lake County commissioner, said three patients have complained, but most have been "overwhelmingly supportive" of his position.

"They know it's not good for them," he said.

Cassell, who previously served as chief of surgery at Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares, said a patient's politics would not affect his care for them, although he said he would prefer not to treat people who support the president.

"I can at least make a point," he said.

The notice on Cassell's office door could cause some patients to question his judgment or fret about the care they might receive if they don't share his political views, Allen said. He said doctors are wise to avoid public expressions that can affect the physician-patient relationship.

Erin VanSickle, spokeswoman for the Florida Medical Association, would not comment specifically.

But she noted in an e-mail to the Sentinel that "physicians are extended the same rights to free speech as every other citizen in the United States."

The outspoken Grayson described Cassell's sign as "ridiculous."

"I'm disgusted," he said. "Maybe he thinks the Hippocratic Oath says, ‘Do no good.' If this is the face of the right wing in America, it's the face of cruelty. … Why don't they change the name of the Republican Party to the Sore Loser Party?"

(Yeah he said it and he's entitled to his opinion, but if the POTUS has his way about it, this doctor will probably be reprimanded! We can only pray that more doctors follow suit and let their voices be heard! VN8)

Oh Yeah, we knew this was coming . . .

From WJR's Paul W. Smith show, a Freudian slip from Rep. John Dingell. Smith asked why we're waiting for 2014 to cover people, and Dingell said this in his defense:

"Let me remind you this [Americans allegedly dying because of lack of universal health care] has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you're going to pass legislation that will cover 300 [million] American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people."

Because controlling the people is what it's all about.

Social Network? Is that Code Mr. Vice President?

I guess I could say I'm in shock over the fact that the health care fill passed, but that wouldn't really be true. We knew in November of 2008 that we were on a slippery slope towards more socialism. Today I watched the "historic" signing of the health care bill and I kept a trash pail close by just in case I had to vomit. It was close a couple of times but I kept telling myself to breathe. I listened to our Vice President thank Mr. President profusely for placing the final girder in the "social network", whatever that means. I suppose it is code for more socialism!

Not a single Republican in the room? That is what the press is reporting. I'm sure that our Republican leaders were in the infirmary awaiting their government run health care for their own nausea. Will someone tell me how it is that DemocRATS, knowing that most Americans were opposed to this Bill, could stand in a room and gloat over what "they" had accomplished?

Mr. President, Mr. Vice President, Congresswoman Pelosi, Senator Reid, we have yet begun to fight. The room chanted, "Fired up, ready to go"? Well let me state unequivocally, American Patriots are also fired up and ready to go. We are ready to go to the polls, we are ready to take it to the streets. Your precious Bill was like gasoline on a fire. It is time for states to take their rights back and take them back NOW!

Where were you when FREEDOM died? This is a call to action, if you have never been an activist, this is your wake up call! We need every American Patriot who believes that the Federal Government is out of control to stand up, take a stand and let your voices be heard!

God Bless America, land that I love!

Where's Waldo? I mean Al Gore!

The Sky is FALLING!

I've been wondering about where Al Gore is for months! Vote November 2008 solves this mystery!

Business and Media Institute provided me with the details. Al Gore is, (drum roll please), he's on a conference call! No location was given!

Gore, the self-anointed climate change alarmist-in-chief, told supporters on a March 15 conference call that severe weather in certain regions of the country could be attributed to carbon in the atmosphere – including the recent rash of rainy weather.

There is an audio to the conference call but I could not get it to embed. Listen to the link here.

One would suppose that there is a clue to be found here. With all the talk about "rain", maybe we should start searching for him in the rain forest!

Will someone find Chicken Little and tell him the sky is falling! It is coming in the form of rain and if you are from one of the areas that have been suffering from drought, bring it on, we need it! Yeah, I said it and you are entitled to my opinion! VN8

Salute to an American Patriot!

Well, well, what do we have here? Virginia Thomas, wife to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has decided to create a tea party linked group. Way to go Ginni! A link to her website may be found here.

LibertyCentral.org will serve the big tent of the conservative movement and assist all viable individuals and organizations with education and engagement. The site’s primary focus will be on emerging and new citizen activists – helping them discover a viable path to effective and efficient activism, along with an understanding of why their participation matters in accordance with founding principles and limited Constitutional governance.

God bless you in your attempts to return our government to the Principles of our Founding Fathers. Mark my word to all you progressives, we are coming and you are next! Yeah I said it and you are entitled to my opinion. VN8

Coffee, Tea or ME???

I heard rumblings about this new movement a few weeks back and didn't really have time to check it out, but tonight, I spent a little time on the internet and discovered that the liberals have come up with their answer to the Tea Party Patriots, they now have The Coffee Party USA.

I read through a little of their propaganda, read some of their forums and I'll just share a little with you and then you can do your own research.

Now correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it Congresswoman "lights out" Pelosi who accused the Tea Party movement of being astro turf and not a grassroots organization? Yep, I thought I was correct on that one, well, well, read the "Coffey Party's" mission statement straight from their website:

MISSION: The Coffee Party Movement gives voice to Americans who want to see cooperation in government. We recognize that the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the expression of our collective will, and that we must participate in the democratic process in order to address the challenges that we face as Americans. As voters and grassroots volunteers, we will support leaders who work toward positive solutions, and hold accountable those who obstruct them.

Makes you wonder if any Republicans will come out and accuse the liberals of being "astroturf" or if Congresswoman Pelosi will give them equal time with her derogatory comments? I doubt it and you probably doubt it too.

The following is the video with Annabel Park the supposed founder of The Coffee Party Movement that was posted on YouTube stating how they began and where they are going. (NOTE: This message is coming from a group of people who still believe in the Global Warming myth and they shot the video in the middle of a snow storm.) Those of you who beleive that Global Warming is a myth are going to find that as funny as I did. Just a side note, instead of playing "Where's Waldo" can someone tell me "Where's Al Gore?"

If that isn't funny enough I found this on their Forums, someone within their movement is trying to come up with an acronym for "COFFEE", now if you are drinking some coffee or tea, whatever your preference, swallow what you have in your mouth and put down your cup, "votenovember2008" is not responsible for any liquid damage to your computer.

Did you know that President Obama is trying to sell watermelons?

Oh this is just way too good to pass up! Where's the screaming Chris Matthews? I mean come on, if President Barack Hussein Obama makes Matthews' leg tingle, what did the comment by Dan Rather do to him? Inquiring minds want to know? Yeah, I said it and you are entitled to my opinion! VN8

Dan Rather Says Something That Sounds Kind of Racist
Dan Amira
3/8/2010

If the X in the sentence "X made a comment about President Obama selling watermelons this weekend" were a prominent person of the Republican persuasion, X would probably be in the center of a media firestorm right now. In non-hypothetical terms, X is Dan Rather, who said this over the weekend on The Chris Matthews Show:

And the Republicans will make a case and a lot of independents will buy this argument. "Listen he just hasn't been, look at the health care bill. It was his number one priority. It took him forever to get it through and he had to compromise it to death." And a version of, "Listen he's a nice person, he's very articulate" this is what's been used against him, "but he couldn't sell watermelons if it, you gave him the state troopers to flag down the traffic."

It would probably be reading too much into the statement if we assumed that, because Rather was momentarily taking on the role of a Republican, maybe he just assumed the GOP would decide to infuse their messaging with some racist undertones. More likely is that, for one reason or another, watermelons were the first thing that popped into Rather's head when he was coming up with something for Obama to sell in that little analogy of his. Maybe it's because Rather harbors some subconscious racial stereotypes, or because, in his mind, a watermelon is a good example of something that's very easy to sell, especially when state troopers are controlling traffic (?). Either way, a good rule of thumb is to just never mention Obama and watermelons in the same sentence.

Getting Out of Medicine

We can burden doctors with red-tape hassles, but we can’t make doctors put up with them.

Some years ago, one of my favorite doctors retired. On my last visit to his office, he took some time to explain to me why he was retiring early and in good health.

Being a doctor was becoming more of a hassle as the years went by, he said, and also less fulfilling. It was becoming more of a hassle because of the increasing paperwork, and it was less fulfilling because of the way patients came to him.

He was currently being asked to Xerox lots of records from his files, in order to be reimbursed for another patient he was treating. He said it just wasn’t worth it. Whoever was paying — it might have been an insurance company or the government — would either pay him or not, he said, but he wasn’t going to jump through all those hoops.

My doctor said that doctor-patient relationships were not the same as they had been when he entered the profession. Back then, people came to him because someone had recommended him to them, but now increasing numbers of people were sent to him because they had some group insurance plan that included his group.

He said that the mutual confidence that was part of the doctor-patient relationship was not the same with people who came to his office only because his name was on some list of eligible physicians.

The loss of one doctor — even a very good doctor — may not seem very important in the grand scheme of heady medical-care “reform” and glittering phrases about “universal health care.” But making the medical profession more of a hassle for doctors risks losing more doctors, while increasing the demand for treatment.

A study published in the November 2009 issue of The Journal of Law & Economics showed that a rise in the cost of medical-liability insurance led to more reductions of hours of medical service supplied by older doctors than among younger doctors.

Younger doctors, more recently out of medical school and often with huge debts to pay off for the cost of that expensive training, may have no choice but to continue working as hard as possible to try to recoup that huge investment of money and time.

Younger doctors will probably continue working, even if bureaucrats load them down with increasing amounts of paperwork and the government continues to lower reimbursements for Medicare, Medicaid, and — heaven help us — the new proposed “universal health care” legislation that is supposed to “bring down the cost of medical care.”

The confusion between lowering costs and refusing to pay the costs can have a real impact on the supply of doctors. The real costs of medical care include both the financial conditions and the working conditions that will ensure a continuing supply of both the quantity and the quality of doctors required to maintain medical-care standards for a growing number of patients.

Although younger doctors may be trapped in a profession that some of them might not have entered if they had known in advance what all its pluses and minuses would turn out to be, there are two other important groups that are in a position to decide whether or not it is worth it.

Those who are old enough to have paid off their medical-school debts long ago, and successful enough that they can afford to retire early or to take jobs as medical consultants, can opt out of the whole elaborate third-party payment system and its problems. What the rising costs of medical-liability insurance have already done for some, the hassles that bureaucracies and politicians create can do for others.

There is another group that doesn’t have to put up with these hassles. These are young people who have reached the stage in their lives when they are choosing which profession to enter, and weighing the pluses and minuses before making their decisions.

Some of these young people might prefer becoming a doctor, other things being equal. But the heady schemes of government-controlled medicine, and the ever more bloated bureaucracies that these heady schemes will require, can make it very unlikely that other things will be equal in the medical profession.

Paying doctors less and hassling them more may be some people’s idea of “lowering the cost of medical care,” but it is really just refusing to pay the costs — and taking the consequences.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

I grew up hearing what is good for the goose is good for the gander. The following was located on True Slant regarding Andrew Joseph Stack whose daughter believes that her father is a hero:

"Bell can’t have it both ways. Only now will people listen, in her stunted logic, because of the terrorist act she disagrees with that her father committed that killed IRS employee Vernon Hunter. I also don’t know a lot of heroes who set their homes on fire with their wife and step-daughter inside. You don’t call someone a hero after they’ve committed a heinous act of terrorism that kills one person, injures others, and puts hundreds more at risk. It kind of detracts from their heroism of speaking out (especially when it appears that they were speaking out about nothing other than being a tax cheat who got caught)."

Now my questions is this, why is it OK for President Barack Hussein Obama to have a friend in William Charles "Bill" Ayers, co-founder of Weather Underground, who set off bombs and destroyed property to further his cause and made the following statement regarding his actions?

"I don't regret setting bombs" and "I feel we didn't do enough", and, when asked if he would "do it all again," as saying "I don't want to discount the possibility."

The liberal media cannot have it both ways. If it's OK for a liberal to create terror in furthering their cause, why not an average citizen? I'm still sitting on the fence on this one, trying to reconcile what pushed Andrew Joseph Stack to the point that he could not get any resolution with the issues he stated in his statement dated 2/18/2010.

I do know that when traveling in social circles that the natives are becoming restless and I'm not promoting violence but I also believe the words of Thomas Jefferson were not figurative but literal, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

When will those who supposedly represent us, We The People" wake up and smell the coffee burning in the pot? VN8

Alexander Meigs Haig, Jr - Another Great American Hero dead at 85

Alexander Meigs Haig, Jr. (December 2, 1924- February 20, 2010) was a retired United States Army general who served as the United States Secretary of State under President Ronald Reagan and White House Chief of Staff under Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. In 1973 Haig served as Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, the number-two ranking officer in the Army. Haig served as the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, commanding all U.S. and NATO forces in Europe.

Haig, a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War, is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross, the Silver Star with oak leaf cluster, and the Purple Heart.

In 1981, after the March 30 assassination attempt on Reagan, Haig asserted before reporters "I am in control here" as a result of Reagan's hospitalization.

"I wasn't talking about transition. I was talking about the executive branch, who is running the government. That was the question asked. It was not, "Who is in line should the President die?"
—Alexander Haig, Alexander Haig interview with 60 Minutes II April 23, 2001

RIP, Mr. Haig, we knew in 1981 when President Reagan was shot that you did not mean "you" were next in line to be the President! God Bless You for your service to this Country. Please tell the Gipper when you see him that we are taking this Nation back! The old Guard is dying but we are praying that God is sending a new Guard to step forward and lead the Patriots of this Revolution!

The Obama/Soetoro Dossier

(Well, well, that answers a lot of my questions about the POTUS! I can't stand for his name to even run through my memory banks any longer. Please watch this video in it's entirety, amazing stuff here! VN8)

Andrew Joseph Stack - IRS Assasin

(Disclaimer: This is a document that is floating through the internet, possibly written by Andrew Joseph Stack. I can't judge his actions, but feel his frustration. Crazy or brave? Thank God his wife and children survived and no one else appears to have lost their lives. Was Joe Stack going "Galt"? VN8)

If you’re reading this, you’re no doubt asking yourself, “Why did this have to happen?” The simple truth is that it is complicated and has been coming for a long time. The writing process, started many months ago, was intended to be therapy in the face of the looming realization that there isn’t enough therapy in the world that can fix what is really broken. Needless to say, this rant could fill volumes with example after example if I would let it. I find the process of writing it frustrating, tedious, and probably pointless… especially given my gross inability to gracefully articulate my thoughts in light of the storm raging in my head. Exactly what is therapeutic about that I’m not sure, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

We are all taught as children that without laws there would be no society, only anarchy. Sadly, starting at early ages we in this country have been brainwashed to believe that, in return for our dedication and service, our government stands for justice for all. We are further brainwashed to believe that there is freedom in this place, and that we should be ready to lay our lives down for the noble principals represented by its founding fathers. Remember? One of these was “no taxation without representation”. I have spent the total years of my adulthood unlearning that crap from only a few years of my childhood. These days anyone who really stands up for that principal is promptly labeled a “crackpot”, traitor and worse.

While very few working people would say they haven’t had their fair share of taxes (as can I), in my lifetime I can say with a great degree of certainty that there has never been a politician cast a vote on any matter with the likes of me or my interests in mind. Nor, for that matter, are they the least bit interested in me or anything I have to say.

Why is it that a handful of thugs and plunderers can commit unthinkable atrocities (and in the case of the GM executives, for scores of years) and when it’s time for their gravy train to crash under the weight of their gluttony and overwhelming stupidity, the force of the full federal government has no difficulty coming to their aid within days if not hours? Yet at the same time, the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies, are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple, and this country’s leaders don’t see this as important as bailing out a few of their vile, rich cronies. Yet, the political “representatives” (thieves, liars, and self-serving scumbags is far more accurate) have endless time to sit around for year after year and debate the state of the “terrible health care problem”. It’s clear they see no crisis as long as the dead people don’t get in the way of their corporate profits rolling in.

And justice? You’ve got to be kidding!

How can any rational individual explain that white elephant conundrum in the middle of our tax system and, indeed, our entire legal system? Here we have a system that is, by far, too complicated for the brightest of the master scholars to understand. Yet, it mercilessly “holds accountable” its victims, claiming that they’re responsible for fully complying with laws not even the experts understand. The law “requires” a signature on the bottom of a tax filing; yet no one can say truthfully that they understand what they are signing; if that’s not “duress” than what is. If this is not the measure of a totalitarian regime, nothing is.

How did I get here?

My introduction to the real American nightmare starts back in the early ‘80s. Unfortunately after more than 16 years of school, somewhere along the line I picked up the absurd, pompous notion that I could read and understand plain English. Some friends introduced me to a group of people who were having ‘tax code’ readings and discussions. In particular, zeroed in on a section relating to the wonderful “exemptions” that make institutions like the vulgar, corrupt Catholic Church so incredibly wealthy. We carefully studied the law (with the help of some of the “best”, high-paid, experienced tax lawyers in the business), and then began to do exactly what the “big boys” were doing (except that we weren’t steeling from our congregation or lying to the government about our massive profits in the name of God). We took a great deal of care to make it all visible, following all of the rules, exactly the way the law said it was to be done.

The intent of this exercise and our efforts was to bring about a much-needed re-evaluation of the laws that allow the monsters of organized religion to make such a mockery of people who earn an honest living. However, this is where I learned that there are two “interpretations” for every law; one for the very rich, and one for the rest of us… Oh, and the monsters are the very ones making and enforcing the laws; the inquisition is still alive and well today in this country.

That little lesson in patriotism cost me $40,000+, 10 years of my life, and set my retirement plans back to 0. It made me realize for the first time that I live in a country with an ideology that is based on a total and complete lie. It also made me realize, not only how naive I had been, but also the incredible stupidity of the American public; that they buy, hook, line, and sinker, the crap about their “freedom”… and that they continue to do so with eyes closed in the face of overwhelming evidence and all that keeps happening in front of them.

Before even having to make a shaky recovery from the sting of the first lesson on what justice really means in this country (around 1984 after making my way through engineering school and still another five years of “paying my dues”), I felt I finally had to take a chance of launching my dream of becoming an independent engineer.

On the subjects of engineers and dreams of independence, I should digress somewhat to say that I’m sure that I inherited the fascination for creative problem solving from my father. I realized this at a very young age.

The significance of independence, however, came much later during my early years of college; at the age of 18 or 19 when I was living on my own as student in an apartment in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. My neighbor was an elderly retired woman (80+ seemed ancient to me at that age) who was the widowed wife of a retired steel worker. Her husband had worked all his life in the steel mills of central Pennsylvania with promises from big business and the union that, for his 30 years of service, he would have a pension and medical care to look forward to in his retirement. Instead he was one of the thousands who got nothing because the incompetent mill management and corrupt union (not to mention the government) raided their pension funds and stole their retirement. All she had was social security to live on.

In retrospect, the situation was laughable because here I was living on peanut butter and bread (or Ritz crackers when I could afford to splurge) for months at a time. When I got to know this poor figure and heard her story I felt worse for her plight than for my own (I, after all, I thought I had everything to in front of me). I was genuinely appalled at one point, as we exchanged stories and commiserated with each other over our situations, when she in her grandmotherly fashion tried to convince me that I would be “healthier” eating cat food (like her) rather than trying to get all my substance from peanut butter and bread. I couldn’t quite go there, but the impression was made. I decided that I didn’t trust big business to take care of me, and that I would take responsibility for my own future and myself.

Return to the early ‘80s, and here I was off to a terrifying start as a ‘wet-behind-the-ears’ contract software engineer... and two years later, thanks to the fine backroom, midnight effort by the sleazy executives of Arthur Andersen (the very same folks who later brought us Enron and other such calamities) and an equally sleazy New York Senator (Patrick Moynihan), we saw the passage of 1986 tax reform act with its section 1706.

For you who are unfamiliar, here is the core text of the IRS Section 1706, defining the treatment of workers (such as contract engineers) for tax purposes. Visit this link for a conference committee report (http://www.synergistech.com/1706.shtml#ConferenceCommitteeReport) regarding the intended interpretation of Section 1706 and the relevant parts of Section 530, as amended. For information on how these laws affect technical services workers and their clients, read our discussion here (http://www.synergistech.com/ic-taxlaw.shtml).

SEC. 1706. TREATMENT OF CERTAIN TECHNICAL PERSONNEL.

(a) IN GENERAL - Section 530 of the Revenue Act of 1978 is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection:

(d) EXCEPTION. - This section shall not apply in the case of an individual who pursuant to an arrangement between the taxpayer and another person, provides services for such other person as an engineer, designer, drafter, computer programmer, systems analyst, or other similarly skilled worker engaged in a similar line of work.

(b) EFFECTIVE DATE. - The amendment made by this section shall apply to remuneration paid and services rendered after December 31, 1986.

Note:

· "another person" is the client in the traditional job-shop relationship.

· "taxpayer" is the recruiter, broker, agency, or job shop.

· "individual", "employee", or "worker" is you.

Admittedly, you need to read the treatment to understand what it is saying but it’s not very complicated. The bottom line is that they may as well have put my name right in the text of section (d). Moreover, they could only have been more blunt if they would have came out and directly declared me a criminal and non-citizen slave. Twenty years later, I still can’t believe my eyes.

During 1987, I spent close to $5000 of my ‘pocket change’, and at least 1000 hours of my time writing, printing, and mailing to any senator, congressman, governor, or slug that might listen; none did, and they universally treated me as if I was wasting their time. I spent countless hours on the L.A. freeways driving to meetings and any and all of the disorganized professional groups who were attempting to mount a campaign against this atrocity. This, only to discover that our efforts were being easily derailed by a few moles from the brokers who were just beginning to enjoy the windfall from the new declaration of their “freedom”. Oh, and don’t forget, for all of the time I was spending on this, I was loosing income that I couldn’t bill clients.

After months of struggling it had clearly gotten to be a futile exercise. The best we could get for all of our trouble is a pronouncement from an IRS mouthpiece that they weren’t going to enforce that provision (read harass engineers and scientists). This immediately proved to be a lie, and the mere existence of the regulation began to have its impact on my bottom line; this, of course, was the intended effect.

Again, rewind my retirement plans back to 0 and shift them into idle. If I had any sense, I clearly should have left abandoned engineering and never looked back.

Instead I got busy working 100-hour workweeks. Then came the L.A. depression of the early 1990s. Our leaders decided that they didn’t need the all of those extra Air Force bases they had in Southern California, so they were closed; just like that. The result was economic devastation in the region that rivaled the widely publicized Texas S&L fiasco. However, because the government caused it, no one gave a shit about all of the young families who lost their homes or street after street of boarded up houses abandoned to the wealthy loan companies who received government funds to “shore up” their windfall. Again, I lost my retirement.

Years later, after weathering a divorce and the constant struggle trying to build some momentum with my business, I find myself once again beginning to finally pick up some speed. Then came the .COM bust and the 911 nightmare. Our leaders decided that all aircraft were grounded for what seemed like an eternity; and long after that, ‘special’ facilities like San Francisco were on security alert for months. This made access to my customers prohibitively expensive. Ironically, after what they had done the Government came to the aid of the airlines with billions of our tax dollars … as usual they left me to rot and die while they bailed out their rich, incompetent cronies WITH MY MONEY! After these events, there went my business but not quite yet all of my retirement and savings.

By this time, I’m thinking that it might be good for a change. Bye to California, I’ll try Austin for a while. So I moved, only to find out that this is a place with a highly inflated sense of self-importance and where damn little real engineering work is done. I’ve never experienced such a hard time finding work. The rates are 1/3 of what I was earning before the crash, because pay rates here are fixed by the three or four large companies in the area who are in collusion to drive down prices and wages… and this happens because the justice department is all on the take and doesn’t give a fuck about serving anyone or anything but themselves and their rich buddies.

To survive, I was forced to cannibalize my savings and retirement, the last of which was a small IRA. This came in a year with mammoth expenses and not a single dollar of income. I filed no return that year thinking that because I didn’t have any income there was no need. The sleazy government decided that they disagreed. But they didn’t notify me in time for me to launch a legal objection so when I attempted to get a protest filed with the court I was told I was no longer entitled to due process because the time to file ran out. Bend over for another $10,000 helping of justice.

So now we come to the present. After my experience with the CPA world, following the business crash I swore that I’d never enter another accountant’s office again. But here I am with a new marriage and a boatload of undocumented income, not to mention an expensive new business asset, a piano, which I had no idea how to handle. After considerable thought I decided that it would be irresponsible NOT to get professional help; a very big mistake.

When we received the forms back I was very optimistic that they were in order. I had taken all of the years information to Bill Ross, and he came back with results very similar to what I was expecting. Except that he had neglected to include the contents of Sheryl’s unreported income; $12,700 worth of it. To make matters worse, Ross knew all along this was missing and I didn’t have a clue until he pointed it out in the middle of the audit. By that time it had become brutally evident that he was representing himself and not me.

This left me stuck in the middle of this disaster trying to defend transactions that have no relationship to anything tax-related (at least the tax-related transactions were poorly documented). Things I never knew anything about and things my wife had no clue would ever matter to anyone. The end result is… well, just look around.

I remember reading about the stock market crash before the “great” depression and how there were wealthy bankers and businessmen jumping out of windows when they realized they screwed up and lost everything. Isn’t it ironic how far we’ve come in 60 years in this country that they now know how to fix that little economic problem; they just steal from the middle class (who doesn’t have any say in it, elections are a joke) to cover their asses and it’s “business-as-usual”. Now when the wealthy fuck up, the poor get to die for the mistakes… isn’t that a clever, tidy solution.

As government agencies go, the FAA is often justifiably referred to as a tombstone agency, though they are hardly alone. The recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies in their eight years certainly reinforced for all of us that this criticism rings equally true for all of the government. Nothing changes unless there is a body count (unless it is in the interest of the wealthy sows at the government trough). In a government full of hypocrites from top to bottom, life is as cheap as their lies and their self-serving laws.

I know I’m hardly the first one to decide I have had all I can stand. It has always been a myth that people have stopped dying for their freedom in this country, and it isn’t limited to the blacks, and poor immigrants. I know there have been countless before me and there are sure to be as many after. But I also know that by not adding my body to the count, I insure nothing will change. I choose to not keep looking over my shoulder at “big brother” while he strips my carcass, I choose not to ignore what is going on all around me, I choose not to pretend that business as usual won’t continue; I have just had enough.

I can only hope that the numbers quickly get too big to be white washed and ignored that the American zombies wake up and revolt; it will take nothing less. I would only hope that by striking a nerve that stimulates the inevitable double standard, knee-jerk government reaction that results in more stupid draconian restrictions people wake up and begin to see the pompous political thugs and their mindless minions for what they are. Sadly, though I spent my entire life trying to believe it wasn’t so, but violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer. The cruel joke is that the really big chunks of shit at the top have known this all along and have been laughing, at and using this awareness against, fools like me all along.

I saw it written once that the definition of insanity is repeating the same process over and over and expecting the outcome to suddenly be different. I am finally ready to stop this insanity. Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let’s try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well.
