Social Network? Is that Code Mr. Vice President?

I guess I could say I'm in shock over the fact that the health care fill passed, but that wouldn't really be true. We knew in November of 2008 that we were on a slippery slope towards more socialism. Today I watched the "historic" signing of the health care bill and I kept a trash pail close by just in case I had to vomit. It was close a couple of times but I kept telling myself to breathe. I listened to our Vice President thank Mr. President profusely for placing the final girder in the "social network", whatever that means. I suppose it is code for more socialism!

Not a single Republican in the room? That is what the press is reporting. I'm sure that our Republican leaders were in the infirmary awaiting their government run health care for their own nausea. Will someone tell me how it is that DemocRATS, knowing that most Americans were opposed to this Bill, could stand in a room and gloat over what "they" had accomplished?

Mr. President, Mr. Vice President, Congresswoman Pelosi, Senator Reid, we have yet begun to fight. The room chanted, "Fired up, ready to go"? Well let me state unequivocally, American Patriots are also fired up and ready to go. We are ready to go to the polls, we are ready to take it to the streets. Your precious Bill was like gasoline on a fire. It is time for states to take their rights back and take them back NOW!

Where were you when FREEDOM died? This is a call to action, if you have never been an activist, this is your wake up call! We need every American Patriot who believes that the Federal Government is out of control to stand up, take a stand and let your voices be heard!

God Bless America, land that I love!

Am I the only one who feels this way?

I grew up hearing what is good for the goose is good for the gander. The following was located on True Slant regarding Andrew Joseph Stack whose daughter believes that her father is a hero:

"Bell can’t have it both ways. Only now will people listen, in her stunted logic, because of the terrorist act she disagrees with that her father committed that killed IRS employee Vernon Hunter. I also don’t know a lot of heroes who set their homes on fire with their wife and step-daughter inside. You don’t call someone a hero after they’ve committed a heinous act of terrorism that kills one person, injures others, and puts hundreds more at risk. It kind of detracts from their heroism of speaking out (especially when it appears that they were speaking out about nothing other than being a tax cheat who got caught)."

Now my questions is this, why is it OK for President Barack Hussein Obama to have a friend in William Charles "Bill" Ayers, co-founder of Weather Underground, who set off bombs and destroyed property to further his cause and made the following statement regarding his actions?

"I don't regret setting bombs" and "I feel we didn't do enough", and, when asked if he would "do it all again," as saying "I don't want to discount the possibility."

The liberal media cannot have it both ways. If it's OK for a liberal to create terror in furthering their cause, why not an average citizen? I'm still sitting on the fence on this one, trying to reconcile what pushed Andrew Joseph Stack to the point that he could not get any resolution with the issues he stated in his statement dated 2/18/2010.

I do know that when traveling in social circles that the natives are becoming restless and I'm not promoting violence but I also believe the words of Thomas Jefferson were not figurative but literal, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

When will those who supposedly represent us, We The People" wake up and smell the coffee burning in the pot? VN8

Our Family Experienced a Christmas Miracle

(Wearing my Mama's wig, she thought we were being so funny!)

I have some very sad news to share and also much rejoicing. I want to preface this blog and I apologize in advance for it's length, some of you may not have the information necessary to understand the Mercy and Grace of what I am about to express to you, so I will begin with the sad news first. On December 17, my brother, (73) passed away. On December 24th my Mama, (90) passed away.

There has been much strife in our family due to our Mama's alcoholism. I had not spoken to her in two years. It was very difficult, but I had to do it for my own sanity. My brother had been Mama's caretaker for the past seven years, to this day I don't know how he did it and I will be eternally grateful for his strength and devotion.

August of this year, 2009, our Mama took to her bed and never walked again. My brother cared for her as best he could, but after the years of living with an alcoholic he had become extremely bitter and resentful as anyone would.

After our Mama took to her bed, God began His work to heal this family. Mama had four children, my oldest sister (75), my brother(73), my sister(56) and myself (50). Over the years Mama would get mad at one or all of us and we were torn asunder. But once Mama took to her bed, after 42 years of drinking, it is our understanding after spending the last seven days of her life with her that she had detoxed all by herself with no medical intervention and God began to heal her heart. She had begged our brother to allow her to call us girls but to no avail, he was the dam that stood in the way for our Mama along with God's assistance to heal this family. After speaking with a Chaplain from Hospice we are of the opinion that God took our brother home to be with the Lord so that Mama could finish her "work" and go home to be with the Lord as well.

On Thursday evening, December 17th, I received a phone call from one of my brothers sons that his father had passed and they wanted to know what we wanted to do with "Grandmother" because they had no interest in caring for her. My sister and I went over on Friday morning and began proceedings through probate court to become her conservator and her legal guardian. (At the time the grandchildren had arranged for a private home health provider to be with our Mama on Thursday night til we could get there on Friday) That Friday, December 18th was a long day, we had no idea where to start, but we trudged through it. You see we had none of our Mother's information, the grandchildren had come into the house on Thursday with Mama in bed and cleaned out her house, even taking her pocketbook. At the eleventh hour, 3:30 on a Friday afternoon, we finally discovered who her doctor was and he faxed a letter to the probate judge stating our Mama's condition and at 4:50 on that Friday we received and Emergency, Emergency order to take care of our Mama.

It was a long weekend, our Mama still had not been told that her son was dead but she was asking where he was and if you know me and how strong my personality is, she is who gave me that personality and she was getting pretty inquisitive about where he was. She was very weak but lucid, we finally told her of his passing and had no other choice but to tell her that her home had been raped and that we were now her guardians and that she was NOT going in a nursing home.

As the days passed, she began to tell us about the work God had been doing in her life and her heart, she wanted to call us so that she could apologize to us and bring us all together. There was never a happier Mama in this world. She kept telling us how happy she was to have her girls and we kept reassuring her that her work was done and that we would take care of each other.

By Sunday, she was still lucid but told us that her Savior was hiding from her. I asked her why he would be hiding from her and she said he told her that her work wasn't finished. I asked her what work she needed to do and she told me that she needed to see my oldest sister(her first born child). Well I called my sisters son and told him to go to her house and she would be waiting with bags packed. I then called my sister and told her that Mama would lay in that bed and suffer waiting for her if she didn't find a way to get here. She arrived on Sunday night and all was well with the world for our Mama. Her work was done.

During those seven days, there was much crying, even more laughter, there was dancing, she loved to see us dancing, there was singing, she always sang with us and played the piano, she loved patriotic songs, she loved gospel music, we did anything we could pack into those days. We read her poetry, she loved "Trees" by Joyce Kilmer. We tried on her wig and made her laugh, we wore her clothes to bring her peace and comfort, we cooked her favorite pinto beans and cornbread with spring onions, we made her "hot" coffee, we gave her her favorite butter pecan ice cream and yes, you won't believe this, but she dipped snuff up until the final two days. We prayed with our Mama as she cried out to God to have mercy on her, that was the most difficult part to endure.

On one of those occasions praying with our Mama, we were all standing around the bed holding hands along with our Mama and one of my sister (who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer) told us while we were praying that she felt like and electrical charge was running up and down her body from the top or her head to the bottoms of her feet, we were all jealous and wanted some of whatever that was, but after much thinking and talking with the chaplain, we are claiming that Mama was praying for God to heal my sister, and giving her all the strength that she had left in her poor old worn out body.

Mama talked about all kinds of things she was seeing and they included her Mother and Father, when she would wake up from sleeping we would ask her if she had been working, we can only assume that God was preparing her for heaven.

From my point of view, God's timing is perfect and I can only assume that there are those of you my friends that may have thought that I should have tried to make peace with her before this happened, but because of my Mama's personality and human nature, none of this was possible until the end. I stood the chance of living out the rest of my days with this hanging over my head but again, God in all His mercy spared my sisters and myself from having to endure that torture.

Each of those seven days was different, we lost all track of time, we lost track of what was going on in the world, we were preparing our Mama for a journey, a journey that would take her to places unknown to us, a place that none of us can even begin to comprehend.

On Thursday morning, December 24th I asked my sisters if they wanted fried eggs and toast for breakfast and we all did. I walked into the living room where my Mama's hospital bed was set up and asked her if she wanted some breakfast too, we continued to treat her as if nothing was wrong. When I walked into the living room, my sister was asleep in a chair near her bed, I knew my Mama was gone, I spoke gently to her, laid my head on her chest and there was no sound of life, I called out to my sisters and we knew she was gone. It was Christmas Eve and God had given us the most wonderful gift imaginable, he had given us our Mama back. Please do not grieve for us, praise God, the Father of the universe for all things great and small. We will see her again one day.

I crawled up in the bed with our Mama and held her tight, she was no longer in pain, it was a moment I will never forget. We waited for the Hospice nurse to come and then the funeral home. Hospice suggested that we not be present when the funeral home came but I knew our Mama would be right beside of us if it were one of us and I stayed right there while they transported her from the bed to the gurney. With the Hospice Chaplain following the gurney, I walked down the sidewalk and started singing, "Some glad morning when this life is over, I'll fly away." It was beautiful, the staff from the funeral home along with the Chaplain joined in and took our mama away.

Faith is as individual as snowflakes. God speaks in all languages. If we listen closely, we can hear him in the wind, we can see him in the trees and the clouds, our only responsibility is to listen to Him and when He gives us direction we only need to follow. Our God is an awesome God, He surpasses all our understanding, we can never comprehend His power or His Glory, but I can tell you this, if you knew the destruction that the darkness of alcoholism had caused our family, like myself, you would have never believed that a miracle such as this would have ever occurred. God is a God of miracles and I give Him all the Glory for giving us our Mama back. I will never know why til I see God face to face why our family endured this destruction but I praise Him for putting us all back together.

In closing, our Mama was a Patriotic woman, she loved her Country, she loved her family and she loved God. Her first husband was killed on Guadalcanal Canal on the USS Juneau, WWII, leaving her with a seven year old and a five year old. She made many sacrifices for this Nations freedom. You may ask what you can do? I only ask that you pray that the same God of Mercy that reunited our family, have mercy on our Nation, to heal our divisions to heal this land and spare us the turmoil that may lie ahead.

PS While going through my Mama's bank statements, she had been donating 10.00 a month to a political organization and in the "memo" portion of her check she simply wrote one word in all capital letters, she wrote "FREEDOM". From this day forward I dedicate this blog to my Mama, she also had a framed photograph of President Ronald W. Reagan in her bedroom, I have that photo now. Keep the faith, keep up the fight! VN8

You can lead a liberal to the facts, but you can't make them think . . .

I'm posting this in response to CountryComesToTownBlog. To answer your question, ObamaCare isn't going to be "FREE", taxpayers are going to pay for it! It's a question of Freedom. It's our money, it isn't the government's money to do what they see fit to do with. I wouldn't go to my next door neighbor and tell them that I can't afford health insurance and tell them that they had to pay for it! It isn't their responsibility. But liberals seem to think that it is their "right". It isn't their right. Health care is not a "right". Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is an inalienable right, health care is not. If American tax payers were not under such a tremendous burden paying for programs such as Social Security, Welfare, Food Stamps, and Medicare to name a few, for millions of we probably could afford to pay for our own insurance.

When did it become common place for each of us to think that when we had a hang nail we needed an insurance policy to pay for that trip to the doctor? When I was growing up you paid to go to the doctor. If we weren't under a tremendous tax burden we could all afford a policy with a high deductible in case of something catastrophic.

I implore each of you, the Bible Thumpers, the Gun Toters, The Teabaggers, the Mobsters to leave your comments, observations, here on this blog, maybe you can more succinctly communicate why National Health Care WILL NOT work. Show me a Nation where it does work!

Taxpayers for years have had their noses down to the grindstone, not looking up to see what was happening to this great Nation but we are waking up. As the Japanese said after the attack on Pearl Harbor, President Obama and the Democrats have awakened a sleeping giant. We are mad as hell, we are passionate about how we feel and we aren't taking it any more. We will not be silenced. Liberals aren't the only "community organizers". We aren't being paid, we are a grassroots group, we also know how to use "Twitter, FaceBook, YouTube and the Internet". We aren't idiots, we have been busy keeping this Country afloat and we aren't ashamed of how we feel, if anything we are ashamed that we have allowed the demise of this once great Nation. God forgive us and have mercy on us.

Here's what CountryComesToTown has to say about us:

Let me tell you something else that is outrageous. It is outrageous to see people that I know, who can't afford and don't have health insurance, holding up teabag party signs hollering that they don't want health care reform and that they can't afford to pay for the health care of others. These are people that live at the mercy and welfare of the state and the taxpayer should they have a catastrophic illness, yet they are the ones screaming against health care reform. That's insane. It's as if they know they are screwed and probably going to die if they have a catastrophic illness and they want me to be in the same boat. I on the other hand, would like for all of us to have access to affordable health insurance and to get the health care we need in the event of sickness. Is that too much to ask – that we might all have the right to live if we act responsibly and are unfortunate enough to get sick? We don't want free health care. We just want the insurance companies to stop screwing us, stop denying coverage we've paid for and stop canceling policies when we get sick.

(Don't try to go to the blog to comment, he has his comments shut down.)

Here are the questions that Herman Cain would like for the President to answer:

July 27, 2009
By Herman Cain

During President Obama’s primetime press conference last Wednesday, he made the usual promises about Obamacare, which have no resemblance to what Congress is working on. The president continues to promise more choices, better health care, fewer costs and less government intervention. The “Health Care De-form” legislation working its way through Congress is just the opposite.

Rather than the lapdog mainstream media doing its job and challenging the president on his assumptions and assertions, they play “run and fetch” with whatever the president says. Since they didn’t do their jobs, here are a few real questions for starters.

Mr. President, since government mandates have never produced the desired results in the history of this country, why do you believe they will work this time?

When the government mandated a salary and wage freeze during World War II, businesses still had to compete for the best people in the workforce. As a result, businesses started offering health insurance benefits as an employment incentive and the practice has intensified over time. So much so, many politicians now proclaim that health care is a “right”.

Mr. President, is food a similar “right”? (No response)

Mr. President, since persistent problems have been reported about Medicare, Medicaid and veterans’ health care, why do you believe that this time the government bureaucracy will perform much better than ever before?

I can’t imagine that he really believes that, but he has to keep saying it because that’s what the “sheeple” want to hear, and it provides cover for what the Democrats in Congress are working on to get us on the road to health care rationing.

Mr. President, if the real objective is to provide health insurance for the “uninsured” in this country, then why not allow people the opportunity to pay a small fee to participate in Medicare? In fact, why not offer free Medicare to those that are really, really poor?

According to my calculations the costs would be only a fraction of $1.5 trillion if you use the real number of 8 million chronically uninsured people instead of the misleading 46 million. Alternatively, why not provide a “health insurance voucher” for those who are chronically uninsured?

Mr. President, have you considered changing the law to allow association health plans, along with allowing health insurance premiums to be tax deductible regardless of who paid for them?

History has shown that free market forces are better than government mandates to curb the rapid rise in costs.

At that point, President Obama would pull a “Clinton”. In 1994, when I asked President Bill Clinton a question during a televised town hall meeting he did not want to answer, he said, “Send me your information and I will get back to you, next question.”

I’m still waiting.

Mr. President, since no country with government-controlled health care has been able to avoid health care rationing to control costs, what evidence do you have that suggests we will be able to do what no other country has been able to do?

Oops! The president’s staff might call security on that one.

If the last question of the night about a “racial” incident in Boston involving a friend of the president was not a plant, then it was a brilliant accidental distraction to throw to the media. “Run and fetch” worked again, because that was the main story by many news outlets the next day.

Here’s my last question:
Mr. President, do you really know what’s in the “Health Care De-form” legislation?

Sorry, we are out of time.

(*Herman Cain and Dick Armey will be in Atlanta at the Centennial Olympic Park on Saturday, August 15th, 1:00 - 4:00 to discuss this debacle! If you can't be there, find a Town Hall Meeting, let your representatives know how you feel! If you can't attend a Town Hall Meeting in person, sent them an email, send them a letter, call them on the phone. This train is nearing the end of the track! VN8)

To my fellow Patriots, keep the faith, never lose sight of our goals. I leave you with the following quotes as inspiration.

President Ronald W. Reagan said the following:

If you`re afraid of the future, then get out of the way, stand aside. The people of this country are ready to move again.

Government is like a baby. An alimentary canal with a loud voice at one end and no responsibility at the other.

To sit back hoping that someday, someway, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last--but eat you he will.

The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, `I`m from the government and I`m here to help.`

If I could paraphrase a well-known statement by Will Rogers that he never met a man he didn`t like, I`m afraid we have some people around here who never met a tax they didn`t like.

Fascism was really the basis for the New Deal.

The best minds are not in government. If any were, business would steal them away.

Government`s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

I don`t believe in a government that protects us from ourselves.

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children`s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.

This is not a paid endorsement by the RNC or any other organization, I'm simply a Patriotic citizen who believes that we can take this Nation back!

In Celebration of Memorial Day!

(Thank you to my dear friend, Mother Reiver from YouTube, a true AMERICAN Patriot who walks with God. Thank you for a beautiful video. Check out her videos! VN8)

I wish us to remember the brave heros out there who continue to risk their lives for us. This is a tribute and memorial video - I will not accept political commentary, but only support for our troops.

This tribute falls short of expressing what I feel for our Veterans from today and yesteryear - I am in your debt, and I am proud of you.

Lyrics:

We are not strangers, To a battle
We know that freedom, Has a cost
We may be bloodied, But we're unbroken
Despite the darkness, We are not lost

For there's an eagle, high above the ashes
Close by the flag we're fighting for
There's a brave new spirit in America
United forevermore

We turn to God, For strength and comfort
To hold us closer, Than we've ever been
We pray for guidance, Through the tempest
Then we see, A sign from him

There's an eagle, high above the ashes
Close by the flag we're fighting for
There's a brave new spirit in America
United forevermore

The eagle's soaring higher
Than he ever did before
As he leads our fallen heroes
Straight through heaven's door

There's an eagle, high above the ashes
Close by the flag we're fighting for
There's a brave new spirit in America
United forevermore
