Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said President Barack Obama’s plan to fix the economy through stimulus spending and government intervention to boost companies like General Motors Corp. has “already failed.”
“Bureaucrats managing companies does not work, politicians dominating the economy does not work,” Gingrich told about 2,000 Republicans who attended a fundraising dinner at the Washington Convention Center last night.

VN8 -- Thanks for featuring that great image from Apollo 9. It really saddens me to think about what we have nowadays in terms of dreams. But it so warms my heart when I remember how I felt about our nation back in those days. Thanks for the memories!
On your present post, Newt doesn't have much media respect nowadays, but he has a point. How long are we supposed to give this stimulus before it starts working? Obama can't turn this around because bad economic times are the worst possible times to over-institute the socialist give-aways. RR could have turned it around, but the press woulda crucified him for it. ("trickle-down" just spun those liberals up like a child's top.)

Just look at the unemployment rate,which went from mid 5% to mid 9% in just four months.
Yeah,his plain has failed and is taking the country with it.
