If they are terrorist, I don't believe they have the capabilities to discuss anything rationally. It's like the mother who tells the disobedient child, "Now I told you not to do that, how many times do I have to tell you not to do that, don't make me count to three." Ever heard a parent tell a child that repeatedly. I'm not saying terrorist are like children, but on the other hand they do act irresponsibly and I've never met a terrorist or criminal yet that you could communicate with unless they were trying to save their ass!

Like I said, just kill 'em all. Right?

Jim, you never answered my question a long time ago regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction. I specifically asked you if you think all of the Kurds that were found in mass graves, just woke up on a sunny day and decided to all go dig a hole in the ground and commit mass suicide or were they killed with mustard gas by Saddam Hussein? You never answered, so I'm assuming that you must know that the WMD's did exist, we just don't know where they took them to hide them.

As for just kill em, if they are evil, you are damn right. If they terrorize, you are damn right. Evil in this world must be destroyed for people to live free.

Actually I did answer you on April 3rd when you called me a pacifist. Don't you remember? Here is full comment that I posted in relation to your questions and in relation to the corresponding post that day:

Look I am NOT a pacifist. I was all for the war in Afghanistan and wouldn't have cared if we leveled them with nuclear warheads. I'm opposed to the war in Iraq because I knew I was being lied before the Iraq war started and now three quarters of the American people have figured out they were lied to as well. Yes, Saddam Hussein committed acts of genocide against his own people back in 1988 but that's NOT the reason we were sold on going to war in Iraq and you know it. Bush, Cheney and company scared the hell out of the American people by talking about mushroom clouds, Saddam's nuclear capabilities and Iraq's supposed ties with Al-Qaeda. They were bogus lies and a total misrepresentation of the facts to the American people and in my opinion an impeachable offense. If the next president makes a strong case that Iran has nuclear weapons capabilities and I believe the evidence, I'll be completely supportive of whatever actions are necessary to remove that threat. But, I will NOT support doing it under George Bush and Dick Cheney because they have proven themselves to be pathological liars and I don't believe a damn thing they say. It does give me great hope that so many Republicans now feel the same way. I posted those quotes just to point out what some of our American war heroes really thought about war and I certainly wouldn't call any of them a pacifist.

Jim,
Pathalogical liars? Those are strong words. Would that description include all the Dems who voted to authorize force and the intel agencies of our allies?
I don't have the strength today to go on, but I will gladly email you a Christopher Hitchens column from 2006 that deconstructs the "liar" argument.

Lee let's just let it go. We all know where we stand on Iraq and none of us is going to change the other person's mind. VN8 had asked me on multiple posts and emails to answer her question about the 1988 dead Kurds. But she apparently didn't see where I answered it back on April 3rd. So, I was just copying and pasting it here for her since she asked why I wouldn't answer the question. We just need to agree to disagree on Iraq. As for Christopher Hitchens, I just listened to a podcast by him this afternoon while exercising. He was going on about how God was not great and how religion spoils everything. So, I've had my fill on him for now and don't agree on the topic of religion but it was interesting to listen to. I've seen the one you're talking about and will have a listen one of these days.

Jim, I'll let it go if you don't tell anyone I'm reaching across the aisle in doing so!
You're right about Hitchens and religion. Up until roughly a year ago when he went off the deep end, I considered him to be a clear thinker, and I still do. But I believe he has some "issues" of his own.

Lee I promise not to tell a soul. LOL As for Hitchens, I do enjoy listening to him and he does make me think about issues. I don't agree with him on religion but I respect his views. This would be a boring world if we all agreed on everything. Well, maybe not if you all agreed with me on everything. LOL Have a great weekend.
