Happy Birthday Mr. President!

Well, (I can hear President Reagan's voice) hell is surely freezing over on what would be President Ronald W. Reagan's 99th birthday. How poetic is that?

'Snowmageddon' is bringing the Nation's Capital to a standstill. It is when we are still that we can hear the voice of God.

What would Regan do today? He would cut taxes, stimulate economic growth and tell us to tighten our belts and he would cut government spending. Unlike Carter, President Reagan believed in smaller Federal government and a stronger America. Don't take my word for it, read it in his own words:

“Our problems are both acute and chronic, yet all we hear from those in positions of leadership are the same tired proposals for more government tinkering, more meddling and more control -- all of which led us to this state in the first place.


If President Reagan by some miracle were to be re-elected in 2012,the following comment by President Reagan regarding President Jimmy Carter might have stood the test of time. Some things never change and I challenge you to read the comment, delete President Carter's name and tell me if the same comment would be relevant to President Barrack Hussein Obama?

“Can anyone look at the record of this administration and say, ‘Well done?’ Can anyone compare the state of our economy when the Carter administration took office with where we are today and say, ‘Keep up the good work?’ Can anyone look at our reduced standing in the world today and say, ‘Let's have four more years of this?”

Fellow Patriots, let's win this battle against the liberals who are destroying this Great Nation. We as a people have been complacent, we have allowed this malaise to overcome us. It is time for us to take up our banner of Freedom, take up our swords if necessary and protect our Constitution.

Today in honor of a Great American, President Ronald W. Reagan, let's win this battle for the Gipper! God Speed Mr. President and God Bless the United States of America!

I miss him too. He was proud of America and thought it great - both the nation and the ideals upon which it was founded. I know of no politician today who speaks of our country as RR did, certainly not the current occupant of the WH. As Hank Hill said, "God, I miss voting for that man." Indeed.

Lee, he certainly was proud of America and he was even more proud of the American Spirit! I, too, miss voting for him. I'd say I miss hearing him speak, but thank goodness for YouTube, I listen to his speeches often just to shore myself up! VN8
