Struggling with the economy, unemployed?

I saw something on Fox News this morning that was very inspiring. If you have some times on your hands, why not volunteer and give back to your community. I found this group to be very inspiring!

God's Love We Deliver

God's Love We Deliver's twenty years of service. GLWD is a New York City-based, not-for-profit, non-sectarian organization, is the metropolitan area's leading provider of life-sustaining nutritional support services for people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease and other life-altering illnesses.

Those groups do great community outreach. The big one in Atlanta is Project Open Hand. They have thousands of volunteers. It's not just people that aren't working but rather people from all walks of life including businesses, civic groups and schools that give of their time to help others in the community.

Jim, didn't mean to insinuate that only unemployed people work at these organizations, it was a story on FOX about what to do with spare time on your hands. Sometimes when we take our minds off of our own circumstances that is when the biggest blessings are received. Just a clarification. Even compassionate conservatives give of their time to these organizations. Imagine that. :) VN8

I know many that do give of their time and money.

I love reading about folks that do awesome volunteer work. My grandmother use to say "idle hands are the devils playground", so stay busy. I try to remember that when I'm not following through on a task.
Nice one VN8!

Jinxie, yep my grandmother used to say the exact same thing. Our family was so provincial that way! Or that was what I was accused of anyway! LOL Glad to see you drop by! VN8
