What are you doing to cut costs?

I wanted to offer you an opportunity to share with others some of the money saving tips that you may have implemented that might help others. I'm sure each of us is discovering new ways to pinch a penny. Are you coupon clipping? Are you eating out less? Are you driving less? Carpooling? Bartering for goods and services? Cutting back on How are you cutting costs in this uncertain economy? Here' an interesting video I located on YouTube. VN8

Personally, I'm airing up my tires!

I'm also wandering into the inner city after dark. After all, every one of them in this country is in a state of anarchy after dark, so if I do my part and treat downtown as a safe haven, others might too. Ya think?

Taking my example, businesses will suddenly relocate to urban areas, and the tax base will increase, and jobs will be created and ...

...yeah, I'm not holding my breath either.

I don't mind answering this if you're serious. Most people are cutting back and trying to save more. I think I read that personal savings rates have gone from the negative to a positive 4%. As for me, I'm driving and traveling less. I don't eat out as often. I'm paying attention to energy use and turning off things not in use and I put new weather stripping around my doors. I repaired my car rather than trading for a new one. And, I think twice about buying impulse items that I want but don't really need.

OMG, OM1, you take the bait and swim with it! Great response! I truly am interested in what everyone is doing to cut costs yet continue to do their Patriotic duty to stimulate the economy! LOL
Double entendre of sorts! LOL VN8

Jim, sounds like a little healthy paranoia on your part! I really am interested in the answers, I'm doing a little study of my own. I know that it's difficult for a single person to cook for one! It's going to be hard for the Prez to stimulate the economy if we all cut our spending! It's going to be interesting to watch. VN8

Well if 800 bil straightens out our urban jungles, educates our children and brings us affordable energy, I'll apologize. I'm not too worried about having to do so at this point.

Airing up your tires, that's a good one OM1! Just a word to the wise, if you wander into the inner city after dark, pack some heat! Give me a shout when you want me to bring you the oxygen tank! VN8
