The Day Time Stood Still . . .

As a remembrance of September 11, 2001, please leave your comments regarding where you were on September 11, what went thru your mind, how did you feel, what did you do, how did you cope?

(Thank you Mother Reiver for this poignant video!)

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and success of liberty." ~John F Kennedy

And what a day it was. Never has an event in modern times drawn a line more clearly between civilization and barbarism, cruelty, tyranny, and darkness. We, as a nation, did good work in the days and years afterward - despite political opposition. Now, we're calling for a national day of service in commemoration...what's that all about? And we want to prosecute those who did the dirty work. As Orwell said, we sleep peaceably because rough men stand ready to do violence on our behalf.

Lee, it's amazing, isn't it? I thought for sure that on September 11, 2001 that "evil" had awakened the Nation to what could lie in wait, but alas, that awakening was short lived. Instead we have chosen to persecute those who have tried to protect us! Continuing to pray for our Nation. VN8

Lee, nicely said and I agree compelety. For I once was one of those rough men,and I was - and did do violance to keep this country free.

May God protect and care for those who gave all and lost all on that day.
