America's Healthcare Town Hall/ Atlanta, GA

Well Conservative Scalawag and I went to a America's Town Hall today and we had a blast. It was great to be with fellow Patriots who believe that this is all about Freedom! Herman Cain and Dick Armey were awesome!

I was the lucky one to be interviewed by the Atlanta Journal (Constipation) sorry, Constitution! Check the story on-line, I guess that's as close as I'll get to my 10 minutes of fame! Apparently my protest poster drew their eye:

They asked the ususal, what is your name, what do you do for a living and then they why are you here? Fortunately, before attending the event, I envisioned what I would do if anyone asked me that question because I am so passionate about "our" freedom that I am passionate in communicating my feelings! So I said as plain as I could that I wouldn't ever go to my neighbor and ask them to pay for my health care and I certainly didn't want the government to steal from my neighbor to pay for my health care. He said that's interesting, blah, blah, blah. He seemed very interested and polite, but you know you are always wondering if they are being polite to get the "wacko" story! LOL I have no idea if it will appear in the paper or in a blog on-line but it was fun! I'll keep you posted if Conservative Scalawag and I ever find a link on line.

If you haven't had an opportunity to go to a Tea Party or a Town Hall meeting, please exercise your right to be seen, be heard and be counted! Be loud, be proud, WE WILL NOT BE QUIET!

Here's a link to my Picasa Album, there's 99 photos but they are all worth your viewing!

ENJOY!

I tried to email you, but your spam filter is down.

Too bad they didn't mention you, but at least the AJC was there, and from the reporting got it right.

It was a great event, and a pleasure being their with you NV8.

Scalawag, awesome time! I got your email and I signed up for a Google alert just in case it makes it's way on to the world wide web! I know I've said it before, but I'm so happy Al Gore invented the internet! LOL VN8

WOW, great post, VN8!!! Glad CS was there as well.

Maybe that's our problem, VN8 -- too well dressed??? Perhaps we all need identical colored tee-shirts, the funding for which could most likely be traced to the federal government. You know ... like through ACORN or the less famed YTTP (Yesterday's Terrorist is Today's Professor)

PS- I'm guilty too, but why doesn't anyone wear their fanny pack on .... their fanny?

I thought so!

So why then, don't we just rename them and call it a better deal ... like liberals do all the time.

Thanks Martha! We are making a difference and now is not the time to sit on our laurels, keep shouting to the rooftops! This has gone on long enough and it is time for it to STOP! Caal you Congress members, call your Senators, email them, go to town hall meetings, go to tea parties, if it works for liberals it will work for conservatives as well. VN8/BB

I'm so dissappointed! Wasn't anyone wearing Brooke's Brothers clothing? Really, though, you looked marvelous!

Lee, the modern day slaves were present and none of us can afford Brooks Brothers clothes, we are paying way to much in income tax to keep up the have nots and it was way too hot to be more formally dressed! Thanks, the only thing that was missing was you! VN8
